Ride-Hailing Opportunities on North Vancouver Island

Coastal Rides is working to bring community-based ride-hailing to North Vancouver Island. From vibrant towns to remote coastal villages, this region deserves local transportation options that are safe, flexible, and rooted in the community. We’re calling on residents from across the North Island to help make it a reality.

Expanding Local Transportation on the North Island

If you live in any of the following communities and want to help improve access for your neighbours, we’d love to hear from you:

Port Hardy, Port McNeill, Alert Bay, Port Alice, Woss, Sointula, Zeballos, Holberg, Quatsino, and the surrounding areas.

We’re looking for:

  • Local leaders who want to help introduce Coastal Rides and grow ridership in their area
  • Contract drivers with a valid Class 1, 2, or 4 BC driver’s licence and a vehicle less than 10 years old
  • Community-minded individuals who understand the value of transportation in rural and remote settings

Drivers must pass a background check and a commercial vehicle inspection. This opportunity is ideal for those who want to offer meaningful service while earning a flexible income.

Community-First Ride-Hailing

Coastal Rides is proudly BC-based and focused on serving communities often overlooked by larger transportation networks. Our app-based platform makes driving simple, and our support team is here to help every step of the way.
