Coastal Rides is now offering a shared ride service to connect to and from the Langdale Ferry Terminal. This service is a lower cost option compared to the Private Ride services in the Coastal Rides app. The service is a convenient alternative to the Taxi services, the Sunshine Coast connecter bus, and BC Transit. The Coastal Rides ferry shuttle uses vans and regular passenger vehicles to get you where you need to go on the Coast. No more sailing waits trying to travel with your car on the ferry.
Shared and Private Rides are available from the ferry terminal using the Coastal Rides app. If you have trouble using the app, please call 604-330-7433 and press 2 to reach customer support.
HOW IT WORKS:

Download the Coastal Rides app, create your account, and add your credit card. All payments must be made in the app, drivers are not able to collect fares in the vehicle.

Payment are all made in the app via credit card, your card is pre-authorized at the time of booking and not charged until you are dropped off at your destination.

Fares are all shown in the app and are calculated based on your requested trip.

Going to the ferry: Select Langdale Terminal as your drop off point. Your pickup point can be anywhere on the Coast. Schedule the ‘arrive by’ time to be 10 minutes prior to your scheduled ferry sailing, your pickup time will be calculated to account for traffic conditions and other riders travelling to the same sailing. You can also select next available, and you will be picked up as soon as possible. If there is a vehicle with space for your group, book and keep an eye on your pickup time. If all vehicles are at capacity for the time you select, please email support@coastalrides.ca and we will do our best to help you out.

Pickup at the ferry: Select Langdale Terminal as your pick-up point. Your drop off point can be anywhere on the Coast. Schedule the ‘leave at’ time to be 10 minutes after your scheduled ferry arrival. Drivers monitor ferry conditions, so if the sailing is late they will wait, we may rebook your trip based on the updated ferry arrival time. If all vehicles are at capacity for the time you select, please email support@coastalrides.ca and we will do our best to help you out.

Please note: if you are using a pre-paid credit card, we recommend purchasing a fare card. This way you can cancel and rebook without the pre-authorization taking 7 days to clear from your account.
